Chiclayo Peru

Chiclayo is one of the most vibrant cities in northern Peru. There are also some smaller sites in the area that can be visited on day trips from Chiclayo. The city itself is relatively modern but has some nice areas for sightseeing and relaxation. The Plaza de Armas and the Chiclayo Cathedral are good starting points for touring the city. Directly south from here is the Paseo de las Musas, a beautiful open park with classical statues. Chiclayo's market, Mercado Modelo, is famous throughout Peru for the unique products that can be found there.
